Why is grass fed beef better for you than grain fed beef?

Grass fed beef has a lower total fat content, more heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Grass fed beef has more omega-6 fatty acid called linolenic acid and more anti oxidants vitamins such as Vitamin E.

Why is female pork better than male pork?

Male pork meat smell and taste unpleasant where female pork meat does not. This is why; As male pigs reach puberty, they start producing male sex hormone. The production of this hormone is responsible for what is referred to as boar taint. Boar taint is an unpleasant odour and taste that can be found in the meat of male pigs.

Is the meat safe in the insulated home delivery cartons?

Our duel insulated special designed home delivery cartons insulate longer than regular cardboard cartons protecting you meat against the harsh Australian elements longer making delivery of your food safe and secure for your family.

What kind of packaging are you using?

We use Chilltainers, they make it easy to keep fresh foods fresher for longer and perishables cooler during shipping, providing an ideal packaging alternative to polystyrene boxes. They minimise our packaging’s eco-footprint, and are:

Shipping & Delivery

What if I am not home when the delivery is scheduled?

We will by prior arrangement leave the delivery at your front door or a previously agreed place easy to access on your property. Once your package have been delivered it is your responsibility to collect and refrigerate the products. If you are unable to be at home to receive the delivery and wish us to take it to our storage and deliver the following day, it will incur a delivery fee of $20.

Can I cancel my order?

No, as our products are perishable and delivered fresh within 24 hours, once you have placed your order it can not be cancelled. Please consider before ordering.

Do you still deliver on really hot days?

Yes we deliver all times specified in the delivery schedule. We would ask you to coordinate a time when someone is home to receive the product or pre arrange a place to leave the chill-carton away from direct sunlight.  All are products are delivered in refrigerated vehicles.

Community

Is this a Subscription/membership company?

No, but if you would like to join our community please send us your contact details in the contact us page. We will then add you to our mailing list. You will become eligible for discounts special events invitations and special offers direct into your box. We don’t bind our customers to anything. We deliver what you order when you want it.

Order Queries

What happens if I am not home when my order arrives?

If you are not home at time of delivery, and you have not specified that we can leave your delivery outside, we will need to organise a new delivery day. This will incur a $20 fee for redelivery for Metro Melbourne area (no redeliveries for Outer Melbourne & Victorian Country).
